Sharing and Collaborative

The school alone, no matter how hard it works, will not be able to nourish a child well without the support of parents and family. Indeed, parentsˇ¦ concern and willingness to bear and share responsibilities play a vital role in determining whether a child will be successful or not in future. Parents who sow seeds of love and care today will joyfully reap good harvests tomorrow. Parents who wish to send their children to Logos Academy are making an 11-year commitment. To respond to the parentsˇ¦ choice, the school pledges to be sincere and scrupulous to meet with their expectations. Hand in hand, the school and parents will work in close partnership to bring about the best future for our children.

In order to solicit social resources to help our students, Logos Academy will actively invite personnel who share the same vision and are concerned and involved in youth work in our society to play a role in our school. The school will also enlist different personnel to participate directly as partners in the development of the school. They include:

Renowned educators:
In the Director Board of Logos Academy, there are many prestigious scholars and experienced school administrators who give professional advice on school policy. Moreover, Logos Academy will invite local and overseas educators to establish boards of consultants. These specialists will visit the school in person and give advice on various aspects leading to school improvement.

Local and overseas universities:
Besides collaborating with the education faculties of the universities in Hong Kong, Logos Academy will also form a close network with other overseas universities and education institutes. Through different programmes jointly organised by the school and the education institutes, we will work to enhance the academic growth in both teachers and students. Moreover, we also receive lots of educators and scholars for exchanging views on school administration, teaching and learning. The guests include the CEO of the ToEd Education Institute from United States, Educational Administrator of Central Michigan University, USA; Asia Pacific Representatives of the Bowwin College from Canada, the Principal and teachers of the Singapore Sports School, PhD candidates from Beijing Normal University, East China Normal University, Hangzhou Teachers College, etc.

Moreover, to enable us to catch up with the global standard in our teaching and learning, our school principal, together with our teachers, regularly attend international education symposium and/or international conference for education. We also present academic papers during the conferences. Through the exposure and contacts with international education professionals, we can widen our horizon and up keeping the quality of our work. Over the past few years, we have attended the international conferences as follows:

* International Congress for School Effectiveness and Improvement 2005, Barcelona, Spain.
* 9th Annual Global Chinese Conference on Computers in Education, Hawaii
* International Conference for Mathematics Teaching. Denmark
* 2005 International Education Conference on School Accreditation and Improvement, Shanghai, PRC
* International Conference for Language Teaching, Xian, PRC

The Industrial and Commercial sector:
Christians working in the industrial and commercial sectors are more than willing to assist the school by sharing their resources with us. We have also tapped the resources from the commercial sectors such as Smart Technologies from Canada, National Electrics from Japan, and Hutchison Telecommunications from Hong Kong etc., to help school development. Up to the moment, we have achieved some progress on the development of learning facilities. All of the classrooms in our campuses are wired with category 6 network, giving a maximum transmission rate of 1GB. wireless ports. Rear projection TV sets or electronic interactive whiteboards have been installed in each classroom. These facilities enable more interactions and students participation in the process of learning.

Fellow Schools and Collaboration :
To promote the interaction and communication between our students and students from other places, we organize tours to visit schools in Mainland China and schools overseas during long holidays as cultural exchange activities. Moreover, we have linked with fellow schools in China as sister schools. They include:

* Huangzhou Zhengzheng Middle School
* Guangzhou Jiangnan Middle School
* Guangzhou Guihuaguang Primary School
* Guangzhou Jiangnan Xincun Primary School
* Zhuhai Yonghong School
* No Ninth Primary School of Foshan City

The Union:
Besides being responsible for the Initial Grant, the Union will support the school financially and invest extra resources into the school so that the school will develop rapidly. The Union will also amass the resources of its member churches to assist the school.
