Ms Wu Suet Hing (Visual Arts Teacher) |
Our Visual Arts Teacher, Ms Wu Suet Hing has awarded the Second Runner-up in the Open Section of the competition “Art of Light 2015”, organized by the Hong Kong Society For Education In Art with her artwork entitled “Stumpspeak”. The competition is part of a large-scale local visual art education program co-sponsored by the Hong Kong Arts Development Council and Megaman (Hong Kong).
The media is a set of wasted toilet paper tubes collected earlier from staff, students and parents. It is very grateful for members of Logos in this eco-protection endeavor. The inspiration is from imagery of stumps left behind by fallen trees. It seems that the stumps are personified and decry relentlessly the ecological imbalance and global warming in weather changes. It is hope that this demonstrates how artistic creation can be infused in school life and that, after all, creativity is infectious.
