Building upon the foundation laid by our initial activities, the DS5 Service Learning Program continued to flourish with its second phase in March and April. This stage involved a series of structured briefings and workshops designed to equip students with the necessary skills and knowledge for impactful service.
The program commenced with introductory briefings held on March 6th (Classes I, T, Y) and March 13th (Classes V, E, R), providing an overview of the upcoming service activities. These were followed by the first training workshop on March 7th (Classes I, T, Y) and March 14th (Classes V, E, R), focusing on the design and preparation aspects of their service projects. A second workshop, dedicated to checking and refining their plans, took place on April 10th (Classes I, T, Y) and April 11th (Classes V, E, R). Finally, a comprehensive rehearsal session was conducted on April 24th, bringing together all six classes to ensure seamless execution.
Culminating in a day of dedicated service on April 26th, all DS5 students put their training into action. This day provided a valuable opportunity for students to further engage with the community, apply their newly acquired skills, and make a tangible difference in the lives of others. The second phase of the Service Learning Program reinforces our commitment to fostering empathy, responsibility, and active citizenship among our students, preparing them to be compassionate and engaged members of society.
